Belle and Sebastian rrrrrrock!

Ok, now we're really quite excited about seeing Belle and Sebastian and not just because they've just released a tremendous album in the form of 'The Life Pursuit'. This Scottish bunch have gone from indie shoegazers with a penchant for feyness that borders on the psychotic, to masters of turning everyday stories into exciting sounds. They even did a little dance number for crying out load: the sight of spindly Stuart Murdoch dancing will remain a dear memory for ever.

Seeing as how they've spent the last few months playing US gigs where they've been backed by orchestras, it's not surprising that they're polished as well as confident. For all this though, there's still plenty of room for playing teeny-tiny Casios and having nice chats with the crowd, who are beyond ecstatic, especially when they play 'The Sunshine Song' and giggle about it probably making the heavens open instead. God they're amazing. They played 'Suki In The Graveyard' which made us especially happy.
