Yes, Dirty Pretty Things are very far away. This is because their army of fans has commandeered every inch of ground from Carl Barat's foot to the sides of the fence. They're much tighter and, well, better than Babyshambles, but today at least play with such grim determination that it's not much fun. That said, you still feel like you're watching the dawn of something potentially very good. As long as they steer clear of the tabloids, they should be with us for a while.
