The glorious Puppini Sisters

More on this tomorrow. Sadly the Aloud phone has met a sad, albeit temporary end, at the hands of a dead battery.

What you needed was some kind of solar-powered recharging dohickey. Or failing that something that would run off the copious amounts of pear cider you imbibed. Either way I can state that the festival was certainly one of a kind and, with a few tweaks here and there (Lemonheads/Zutons/Snow Patrol back to back on the Friday night? Talk about almost shooting your load in one evening) it'll be something special to return to next year. Given that you've mentioned the music, the poetry and the literary arenas I feel I should give a mini shoutette to the Kids Area where those slightly older or more family-inclined festival goers could take their children to be taught the finer arts of juggling, face painting and general noisiness. Also having the esteemed Mr Brigstocke wander up (child dangling from one hand) and ask you plaintively for directions to the puppet show classes as a slightly surreal episode.
