The Vines have made their first festival appearance in almost 18 months since singer Craig Nichols had to quit touring due to being diagnosed with Asberger's Syndrome.
The band played Splendour In The Grass festival in Byron Bay, and it was clear that they were happy to be back.
"It felt great to be back on stage," Nichols told reporters after playing the set (and trashing his guitar, natch). "The hardest thing about the last two years has been not playing live. We can't wait to play the UK again. I guess I need to get a new guitar now. Things are about to get real complicated."
UK dates and further festival dates are rumoured to be announced soon so fingers crossed. |
