A RUM DO! A RUM DO! A RUM DO!

OK, we're quite excited. Not that we're shallow, but we are and we love dressing up and cabaret and small festivals in big expensive houses. Because we can, we've changed our minds about V and are going to the utterly glorious looking A Rum Do Summer Weekender instead.

A Rum Do started out as a really popular club night in Bristol, started after one of the organisers went to the Edinburgh Fringe and got rather excited about it. They've now expanded it to a three-day boutique festival in the grounds of the ultra-swish Baskerville Hall.

It's in Wales (hurray!) August 18 - 20 and the line-up includes Mr Scruff, Quantic, Kid Carpet, Bugz In The Attic and The Pinker Tones. There's also a rather wonderful Cabaret tent holding a special evening on the Saturday (dress up darlings), a tent in the shape of Madonna's Bra, a Geisha House with lots of Japanese wonder going on and best of all, a sleeping abg and canapé cinema where you can watch movies late at night and pretend you're at a sleepover. Brilliant!

Actually, we lie. The best thing IN THE WORLD is the fact that A Rum Do has no less than four swimming pools. OMG. We're clapping our hands with joy already. The fake tan's coming out, sharpish.

Anyway, if this sounds like fun (and it blooming well should unless you have the fun capacity of something really rubbish) then you can buy tickets for a charming £85 including camping here. We'll see you there next weekend - YAY!
