Having seen a Welsh breakdancer going bonkers to his mate's unusual freestyling - pants round his knees of course - it came as a welcome relief to find Piney Gir bringing a slice of much-needed country action to Bestival.

Laughing in the face of the festival's numerous electro-tinged acts, she twanged and trilled her way through a delightful set, marred only by an eye-worrying lack of decent stage lighting. But we'll survive.

Never mind that The Mighty Fall played earlier, there's a 9 foot tall steel elephant on wheels playing dancehall reggae! It's all too much.
