Wales will be getting a new festival in 2007 in an attempt to bring T In The Park's popularity down south.

Joining the line-up of this year's Welsh festivals including ARUMDO, Great Escape, Green Man and Metro Weekender, Fflam will be held at Singleton Park in Swansea from July 13 - July 15. It's expected to be around 30,000 capacity each day, and will programme the big three of indie, rock and dance music.

Fflam's promoter John Curd said, "Our aim is that Fflam will become to Wales what T in the Park is to Scotland."

The following is a part of the festival policy:-

Rainbow Spirit Enlightenment Fayre will be somewhat unconventional, a bit innovative and certainly creative. Often I wonder how connected we all are as individual beings living in a collective society. I constantly analyse how much we really consider each other. We are not solitary souls adrift in a world of chaos, though we may feel that at times. We are dynamic, creative, expressive individuals constantly contributing to the components of life and thus we create our world. Complexity and chaos theories state, persons operate under the constraints of limited control and unpredictability, so require new perspectives to learn from the chaos and complexity within which they operate. Human sciences are in contentious development, theories are problematic; one should reflect on what is sensible to do, think of human actions and encourage a sense of experience. Actions of individuals generate patterns of behaviour; decision making processes and enactment within companies creates the butterfly effect. Individual leaders are alone, alongside other sole leaders also trying to choose a future and direction, in harmony with society in general.

Planning the future of a music and arts festival, is a defence against not knowing what will happen in the future, which prompts the question, why in the better part of experience are we not able to realise formulated plans? Plans are social defences against anxieties, humans always feel emotions, and we cannot be without feeling or anxiety. We cannot all have the future we want; there is interdependence with others, many of our goals are achieved through the emergence of interactions. The ultimate gain of interaction is power, which is a consequence of all human relations; those relations are sustained by restraint. Patterns of power emerge through interaction, subsequently power enables sustained relations. Habitual patterns of behaviour are continuously emerging, influence emergence is a contradiction, we influence each other and it is a way of noticing each other. Negotiation is fundamental, people and groups of people interact through political and legal process. It may be noted there is no global blueprint or plan, just similar patterns, chaos creates a pattern where we see confusion, and humankind is restrained to relate to others. Coherent widespread patterns emerge from local interactions. Change processes do not fit into our experiences. Paying more attention to what we are doing may be more beneficial, less stressful and enjoyable; making sense of our experiences may also benefit the quality of our lives and ensure a greater understanding of the emergence process of our society.

Rainbow Spirit Enlightenment Fayre Ltd shall invite charitable organisations to participate at the festival, increasing the amounts they can raise towards their goals. The company shall pursue a policy of support to welsh economy, Universities and social institutions. Rainbow Spirit Enlightenment Fayre Ltd intends to ensure a profitable venture is established and distribute sums of charitable funds to humanitarian causes, which will enhance the fabric of welsh society.

Rainbow Spirit Enlightenment Fayre shall take place annually at Margam Country Park, Margam, Port Talbot, South Wales on the 6th, 7th, 8th July 2007. If the event is successful in its first year, it is proposed to continue for the next twenty years with an option to continue thereon.

Arthur E Turner-Thomas is the founder of the festival and Katherine Jenkins is the inspirational force behind the Rainbow Spirit Enlightenment Fayre, proposed to be the largest and most diverse musical event of its type in Wales. The location for the festival has been chosen due to the splendid setting of Margam Country Park and the near proximity to Port Talbot steelworks. Richard Thomas was the founder of Richard Thomas and Company the main provider of funding for the construction of the present Abbey Works. Arthur E Turner-Thomas is a direct descendant of Richard Thomas, with a desire to enhance the quality of life within the South Wales region through charitable means and return the hard work and good fortune provided by generations of tens of thousands of past employees of his ancestors.

Finest regards,

Arthur E Turner-Thomas
