Hey hey! The good thing about not many people knowing about Captain is that we get to stand right at the front of the main stage for the first time in six years. Excellent. "What a beautiful day!" exclaims frontman Rik Flynn. "I can't think of a better way to spend a Wednesday. Except it's Thursday isn't it?" Opening, modestly, with their current single 'Broke', the London five-piece are just superb. Like a cross between The Shortwave Set and a less serious Long-view, Captain have that knack of turning out truly summery songs that have a bit of bite in them. With lovely harmonies from their keyboard player and a set that backs up the promise left by the shimmering loveliness of 'Broke', they shouldn't have much problem in shifting their upcoming album.
