It's a bit cruel that Latitude is so intent on making music start at 11am when you're still getting used to daylight and the possibility of showers, but The Hot Puppies are a relaxing enough way of getting your head into gear. Sounding like an indie Queens of the Stone Age with Gwen Stefani vocals (artfully powerful rather than poppy) songs like Green Eyeliner briskly pick you up like a nice cup of tea.
