Current Radio 1 playlist-botherers The View have been added to the bill at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival which kicks off on August 11. 500 Saturday day tickets priced at £40 have also gone on sale.
The View join the recently-added The Automatic (we love them, they're only 12) as well as artists including Echo and The Bunnymen, Martha Wainwright, Embrace and Guillemots at the three day event in Scotland, which will include theatre, comedy and cabaret as well as our personal favourite, The Miniscule Of Sound. Officially the world's smallest nightclub with a dancefloor of four feet by three feet, you apparently get to be slagged off by security and VIPs at the door. Sounds amazing! And not at all like its namesake (actually, the only time we went to MOS we WERE VIPs so ner ner ner ner.)
The BBC Radio Scotland Seedlings stage, featuring 22 unsigned bands handpicked by DJs Vic Galloway and Tom Morton, will include Jyrojets, the Rites, Shutter, The Now, Galipaygos, Call to Mind, Our Small Capital, The Side, and Stereoglo. Over 400 bands applied to take part, so this lot should give themselves a right chuffed pat on the pack.
