I know it's dark, but it's still obvious

It's something of a surprise to find quite so many police at Bestival, but here they are - fraternising with our goths, muscling in on our turf, hanging around in flocks like Hitchcock's Birds, and generally putting the wind up, er, me.

Not because we've done anything illegal, you understand, but on account of the simple fact that Glastonbury has survived since 1967 without an overbearing police presence on site. The difference is, we know they're there at Glasto, but there's never a feeling that they're breathing down our necks. Here at Bestival, it seems a little heavy-handed. Just an observation, mind.

But still, at least they posed for a photo. Just...
